5/29/2008 NoNAIS.orgAbout NoNAIS.orgGeneral — walterj 4:37 pm
NoNAIS.org is nothing fancy or complex. It is myself, a homesteader, father and small time farmer in Vermont plus a few other volunteers like Celeste who has been compiling alerts about NAIS. Since 2004 I have been trying to get the attention of our elected leaders, government officials and bureaucrats about just how bad the National Animal Identification System will be for small farmers and homesteaders. I feel resoundingly ignored by them. Most of them don’t bother to reply to my letters on this topic. The couple that have are strong supporters of NAIS, “all the way to the backyard” as they put it. On the other hand I have written letters to the editors of our local daily newspapers and gotten a tremendous positive response. Friends, acquaintances and people I don’t even know stop me on the street, call me on the phone and email me telling me how much they liked the letters and how strongly they agree with me. The common people are virtually universally against NAIS once they know about it. The problem is most people don’t know about NAIS because the USDA has been slipping it under the door without legislative review. Our government officials support NAIS. NAIS will hurt small farmers, homesteaders and pet owners as well as consumers. NAIS is great for big agri-businesses and the tag identification companies. Something’s fishy… So, I have started this blog to help spread the word about the various groups fighting NAIS. I want to get the information out to the public so they can fight for their rights to raise their own food without government interference. Some people would argue that the government helping big business win against the public good is par for the course. I say we need to fight it. Otherwise we’re just lambs being led to the slaughter. Ask yourself what can you do to stop the government from taking away our rights? Can you send a letter to the editor? Can you write your Congressional representatives? Sign a petition? Tell people you know about this? Every little bit counts. Together we can stand up and stop this ridiculous abridgment of our rights. Act now. Want to do more? Write an article for your local newspaper or a magazine. Have a blog or web site? Write about NAIS to get people informed about how bad it is. Contact influential people you know who can make a difference. Leverage the power of the people and technology. Help with alert items here at NoNAIS. Participate in the discussions about NAIS. Do what you can while you still have the right to speak up and fight back. Sincerely, Walter Jeffries 5/21/2008 Of White Elephants and Demolition: Jesse Ventura on the Howard Stern ShowOf White Elephants and Demolition: Jesse Ventura on the Howard Stern Show
Kurt Nimmo
Howard Stern was incredulous. “It was an insurance job?” he asked when Jesse Ventura postulated that the WTC buildings were brought down because WTC 1 and 2 were “white elephants,” that is to say the cost of the buildings exceeded their usefulness. “They were losing money, they had asbestos in them, and they were required by law to do over a billion dollars worth of asbestos removal.” “It was an insurance job?” asked Stern. Ventura continued. Larry Silverstein had insured the buildings against terrorist attacks for $7 billion dollars, “of which he settled for four.” Again, Stern and crew were incredulous, although Stern said he would have to read Ventura’s book, Don’t Start the Revolution Without Me. Jesse urged him to do so. It may have been a near perfect crime, at least in the beginning, so perfect Allianz Group, the company that carried a significant portion of the insurance coverage on the WTC, didn’t put two and two together. However, one company stockholder, publisher John Leonard, did put two and two together, suggesting demolition. Allianz, however, would have nothing of it, as the insurer relied on the official 9/11 fairy tale as an explanation. It apparently did not occur to the German company that Silverstein had over-insured the buildings. “The WTC catastrophe was doubtless one of the biggest insurance incidents in history. A significant portion of the multi-billion dollar loss is expected to be borne by Allianz,” Leonard wrote in a letter to shareholders. “Numerous observers and researchers find the WTC case very suspicious.” Noting that a staggering 49.3% of respondents to a survey conducted in New York City “agreed that ’some of our leaders knew in advance that attacks were planned on or around September 11, 2001, and that they consciously failed to act,’” Leonard was taken aback that Allianz had not “asked whether perhaps the US Government instead of the insurers is responsible for the damages, or whether the possibility of insurance fraud has been investigated.” Allianz eventually balked at paying out and in stepped Brooklyn-Queens Democratic Congressman Anthony Weiner, who threatened to punish the insurer with fines or operating restrictions if they did not cough up the cash. “Silverstein is determined to rake in every last penny possible from 9/11 and has already secured billions from other insurers without a blink of an eye over the fact that he leased the property just six weeks before the attacks and has since been caught in an admission that he ordered at least one of the buildings, WTC 7, ‘pulled’ on 9/11,” writes Steve Watson. It is indeed strange, Watson notes, that any “building that was not owned by Silverstein Properties that day strangely remained upright, despite being a lot closer to the two towers that collapsed onto them,” leading no shortage of people to smell something rotten in Brooklyn – or rather on Manhattan. Considering the amount of insurance fraud, corruption, and rampant malfeasance in the corporate world, the possibility that Silverstein was involved in a plot to bring down the buildings — as they were excessively expensive “white elephants,” as Ventura notes – it is a possibility that cannot be discounted out of hand, although Howard Stern and his crew, like millions of other gullible Americans, are incapable of believing ruthless business interests would do such a thing. Of course, insurance fraud alone cannot explain the events of September 11, 2001. In fact, such an event would be impossible without the complicity of government and — as Ventura recently stated on the Alex Jones Show — the government had reason enough to plan and orchestrate such an event, from scheming a pretext to invade Afghanistan and Iraq to providing an excuse to erect a military police state at home. Unfortunately, far too many people naively believe the government — and for that matter, ruthless business interests — would not do such a thing, and that includes Howard Stern. Ventura Slams Media Witch Hunt For Questioning 9/11Ventura Slams Media Witch Hunt For Questioning 9/11
Paul Joseph Watson Former Governor Jesse Ventura slammed the media witch hunt that he was subjected to in the wake of questioning the official 9/11 story and admitted that he was shocked by the reaction to his comments about the demolition of WTC 7 and the twin towers, but the ex-wrestling and movie star reiterated and expanded upon his views on 9/11 during an appearance on The Alex Jones Show. “How come we’re not allowed to ask any questions today?” asked Ventura, referring to the hostile corporate media reaction that was elicited in response to his last appearance on The Alex Jones Show when he questioned the official 9/11 story. “I can’t believe how I simply asked some questions and the way you’re attacked….has our country really become that - that you’re not even allowed to publicly question the government,” added the former Governor, who labeled the response to his comments “eye opening”. Ventura was attacked by both Bill O’Reilly and Hannity on Fox News as well as numerous other corporate media outlets last month after he questioned the government’s version of events behind the 2001 terror attacks. Ventura slammed the corporate media for obsessing about issues of little or no significance, drawing from personal experience when he was told what stories to cover during his tenure as an MSNBC host, but warned, “Rest assured the Internet will be the next thing the government will try to control.” Ventura reiterated and expanded on the shocking facts behind 9/11 that provoked him into going public with his questions. “I served three years with the Navy underwater demolition team 12 west coast and our specialty, what I was trained in, was blowing things up, and from a professional standpoint in watching how these three buildings fell it sure looks like demolition to me and I believe I have an eye for it having been trained by the best our military has,” said Ventura. Ventura underscored the blatant demolition of Building 7, the 47-story building that was not hit by a plane yet collapsed within 8 seconds into its own footprint in the late afternoon of 9/11. “When you look at it from my viewpoint, that looks like demolition explosions bringing it down and I view that as a member of the underwater demolition team,” said Ventura. Asked what spurred him to go public with his doubts about the official 9/11 story, Ventura explained that he spoke out because he felt bad about his initial reaction to 9/11 when it happened which was to believe everything he was told by the government. He lamented that he was Governor of Minnesota at the time and would have had more influence in seeking a real investigation into 9/11 compared to now. “Why if the Al-Qaeda truly attacked us, why would we not be fighting them in Afghanistan, instead we’re focusing in the opposite direction and going into Iraq who had nothing to do with it,” said Ventura, adding, “In fact Saddam Hussein feared Al-Qaeda as a problem for him.” Ventura stated that one of the biggest alarm bells that made him suspicious about 9/11 was George W. Bush’s reluctance to form a commission to investigate the attacks. “I put myself in that position as a Governor or as a President - if I had a disaster happen like the one we had here in Minnesota where the bridge fell into the water, you would immediately commission a full blown public study,” he said. “Yet George Bush stonewalled an investigation for over two years and the only reason he did one was because of pressure from the 9/11 victims,” added Ventura. The former Governor also highlighted the absence of air defense on the morning of 9/11, speaking from experience as a Navy Seal where “failure is not an option”. “In the case of our air national defense failure is not an option and on 9/11 they thoroughly failed and here’s my point - why was nobody fired? Why did no one lose their job over the catastrophic failure of 9/11 if it’s indeed what they told us it was,” asked Ventura, comparing it to the lost nuclear warheads story last year which resulted in the re-assignment or firing of no less than 70 people. “You have the death of 3,000 people and nobody loses their job over it,” he added. Ventura said that his education about 9/11 had increased recently when he saw a video presentation given by William Rodriguez - former WTC janitor and last man out of the North Tower who saved victims while witnessing multiple secondary explosions before the collapse of the buildings. “When I watched a DVD of William Rodriquez, this guy is totally talking from what he what he remembers, you can clearly see it, he is not making anything up… he’s a hero’s hero, there’s no doubt about… and when you hear him talk and he tells about what he knows, how can you not question what went on that day?” said the former Governor. Ventura’s voice in the call for a new 9/11 investigation could become significantly more influential if he decides to run for the Senate which the former Governor said he was seriously considering and would come to a final decision by July.
